The Center for Sustainable Energy has created an online tool to display up-to-date solar permitting information on California jurisdictions. The AB 2188 Compliance Map is an interactive map which shows the status of an expedited solar permitting ordinance within each California community.
The map also includes additional information such as links to solar permitting forms and requirements.
The state bill AB2188, requires all local governments to adopt an ordinance which creates a streamlined permitting process for solar photovoltaic systems under 10kW. By improving the efficiency of solar permitting statewide, AB2188 will help lower the cost of solar installations and spur more market activity in the residential sector.
