Founded in 1997, Strategic Energy Innovations is a Marin County certified green business, and a minority, women-managed business, committed to actions that can sustain our planet. We believe that there are critical assets within any community that are essential elements for being part of the local solution for addressing our climate challenge. We understand and know how to work with these often under-resourced community groups: schools, colleges and universities, local governments and affordable housing providers, to help them to access the information, tools and resources needed to address their climate and energy goals.
Our staff is a group of passionate people from diverse backgrounds. Together, our goal is to support our community partners to define their needs and build the capacity to pursue a more sustainable future — a future that is more energy, water, and resource efficient, contributing to better air quality and quality of life. Our staff knows how to effectively partner with other organizations to design and effectively disseminate valuable services, approaches and solutions. Our municipal sector services span community needs assessment scoping, to conducting greenhouse gas inventories and climate action planning, to designing locally-appropriate green policies, programs, projects and area workforce education and training. We view institutions of higher education as being in a unique position to demonstrate climate leadership and drive community action. We work alongside of campus partners to identify and translate the best approaches as they look to green their campus, the curriculum (co-curriculum), and in the process, to actively engage with nearby communities.
